This chocolate chip cookie recipe is adapted from an internet chocolate chip recipe that was popular in the late 90s. My daughter used this recipe, and found that she ended up with 112 cookies!
If you plan to make cookies for a large group, this is an excellent recipe to use.
You can substitute gluten-free flour if you are on a gluten-free diet regimen.
2 cup butter
4 cup flour (or substitute Bob's Red Mill 1:1 GF baking flour)
2 teaspoons soda
2 cup sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal— measure oatmeal and put in blender, blend to fine powder
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 - 8 oz. Hershey bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts.
Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 min. @ 375°.
